Remove Sink Stopper

There are a few different ways that you can remove a sink stopper, depending on the type of stopper you have. If you have a pop-up stopper, you will need to first remove the cap from the top of the drain. Once the cap is removed, you should be able to see a knob or lever that is used to operate the stopper. Simply turn the knob or lever in the appropriate direction to release the stopper from the drain. If you have a lift-and-turn stopper, the operation is similar to that of a pop-up stopper. However, instead of a knob or lever, there will be a rod attached to the stopper. To remove the stopper, simply lift it up and turn it to release it from the drain.

If you have a twist-and-turn stopper, you will need to first locate the setscrew that is holding the stopper in place. Once the setscrew is loosened, you should be able to twist and turn the stopper to remove it from the drain. Lastly, if you have a push-pull stopper, there will be a button or rod that is used to operate the stopper. Simply push or pull the button or rod in the appropriate direction to release the stopper from the drain.
